Terms of Service

Property Access

Your gate must be unlocked for the full day of your regularly scheduled mow day or the day after if we are unable to service your property due to inclement weather. If you have a combination lock you will need to provide us the combination. Longhorn will supply a combination lock if you so desire. If we are unable to gain access to your property when the crew arrives, we will not be able to service your property inside the locked area and will not be able to send the crews back or issue a credit.

Pets

Please let us know if you have pets that will be outside. We will make every effort to insure your pet stays in your yard, however we cannot guarantee your pet might not get through the gate and escape. Please arrange to have your pet inside or kenneled on the day we service your property. We assume no liability for the health or welfare of your pet if you leave it outside when we are there to service your property.

It is important that your yard not be scattered with dog toys or pet droppings, We cannot mow over these objects. Please arrange to have the property in a "mowable" state prior to our arrival.. If you wish we will provide a dog scoop and cleanup service for an additional charge.

Service Days

Longhorn Maintenance schedules our crew to work Monday through Friday. Saturday is sometimes scheduled to make up for inclement weather delays. We schedule to service your property the same time each week. Due to the nature of this business, we cannot always arrive at the same time each week, delays in traffic, weather and equipment failure can often affect the schedule.

Watering and Lawn treatments please insure you do not water on your mow day. This affects the quality of the cutting and is dangerous for the crews. Also if another company provides lawn treatment, please insure they do not apply chemicals or fertilizer on the mow day. We cannot reschedule and we will not credit your account if we arrive and your lawn is being treated and we do not mow.

Schedule Changes and Skips

If you need to reschedule, skip a service appointment or cancel service we require you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We are available in the office between 8am and 6 pm Monday through Friday. The contact number is 972-562-8873. Additionally we check our email several times daily. Office @Longhorn.ws If notice is less than 24 hours, we cannot guarantee that service will not be performed and you will be charged accordingly.

Weather Delays

Heavy rain and or lightening storms will likely postpone service until the weather clears up and the turf has an opportunity to dry out. Cutting the grass if the ground is to wet causes a poor cut and is dangerous for the crew. We will mow if in our opinion the rain is light or intermittent. If we have to postpone service for that day, you will be serviced the following day, which may be a Saturday.

Cancellation

Either party may cancel for any reason. However should you cancel service prior to completing the 5 mowing minimum, the less than 5 minimum charge will apply to all the previous services. This amount will be charged to your credit card.

Property Damage

Any property damage must be reported immediately. We will repair any damages caused by Longhorn Maintenance. Damages reported more than 48 hours after a service will not be honored.

Service Issues

Should a service issue arise, Longhorn will dispatch a crew to correct the problem as soon as possible. A supervisor will review the issue and develop a plan to address the situation. Any service issue or complaint must be received with 24 hours of the service to be considered for warranty.

Please note that Bi Weekly customers are likely to have perceived service issues as the very nature of that program causes uneven cuts, grass clumps and brown spots. We do not consider these situations service issues for bi-weekly customers a service issue.
